Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd, Joshua Tree, CA 92252. From the visitor center, head east on Park Blvd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 62. Carefully cross the highway and continue walking east along the north side of the road. After approximately 1 mile, you will come to the intersection with Yucca Valley's Onaga Trail. Turn left onto Onaga Trail and walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Sunnyslope Drive. Turn right onto Sunnyslope Drive; Desert Christ Park will be about 0.5 miles down this road on your right at 56200 Sunnyslope Drive.

    If you're biking, start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center. Ride east on Park Blvd for approximately 0.5 miles until you hit Highway 62. Carefully cross the highway and continue east on the north side of the road. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Onaga Trail. Follow Onaga Trail for around 0.3 miles, then turn right onto Sunnyslope Drive. Desert Christ Park will be approximately 0.5 miles down this road on your right.

    There is no direct public transport to Desert Christ Park, but you can use the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) services. Take the route from the Joshua Tree area to Yucca Valley (check the current schedule). Once in Yucca Valley, disembark at the stop closest to Sunnyslope Drive.
