Walking
If you are in downtown Joshua Tree, start by heading east on Joshua Tree Blvd. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 29 Palms Hwy (CA-62). At this point, you will see the Joshua Tree Saloon on your left. Cross the highway carefully. Once you are on the other side, continue walking east on the shoulder of 29 Palms Hwy. The Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) is located at 60124 29 Palms Hwy, approximately 0.7 miles from the intersection. Look for a building with signage indicating MDLT on your right.

Begin your journey from the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd. Head north on Park Blvd for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with California 62 (29 Palms Hwy). Turn left (west) onto 29 Palms Hwy. Continue biking for approximately 1 mile. Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) will be on your left at 60124 29 Palms Hwy. Make sure to stay on the shoulder of the road for safety.

To reach Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) via public transport, you can take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) bus service. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location in Joshua Tree and take the route towards 29 Palms. Request to get off at the stop nearest to 60124 29 Palms Hwy. From the bus stop, walk east for about 0.2 miles to reach the MDLT. Please check the MBTA schedule for the latest routes and timings as they may vary.
