Getting There

    If you are in Joshua Tree National Park, start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd, Joshua Tree, CA 92252. Head north on Park Blvd for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Highway 62 and continue for about 6 miles. Look for the turnoff to Desert View Conservation Area on the right just after passing the intersection with Desert View Ave. Follow the dirt road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance.

    Currently, there is limited public transportation directly to Desert View Conservation Area. However, you can take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) bus service to Joshua Tree. From the bus stop in Joshua Tree, you will need to either rent a bicycle or use a taxi/rideshare service to reach Desert View Conservation Area. The distance from the bus stop to the area is approximately 7 miles, which can be covered more comfortably by taxi or bike.
