Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Joshua Tree, start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd. Head northeast on Park Blvd towards the intersection with Highway 62. Once you reach Highway 62, turn left and walk along the sidewalk for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Utah Trail. Turn right onto Utah Trail and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will pass by various local shops and art galleries, providing a glimpse of the local culture. Upon reaching the end of Utah Trail, you will see the entrance to Ryan Ranch directly in front of you.

Biking
For a more adventurous option, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Joshua Tree. Start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center at 6554 Park Blvd. From there, head northeast on Park Blvd, then take a left onto Highway 62. Follow Highway 62 for about 0.5 miles until you reach Utah Trail. Turn right onto Utah Trail and bike for approximately 1 mile. Enjoy the scenic views as you ride. Ryan Ranch will be located at the end of Utah Trail where you can explore the historic site.

If you prefer public transportation, check the local bus schedule for the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA). Begin at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center at 6554 Park Blvd and take the bus heading towards Twentynine Palms. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you wish to get off at the stop closest to Ryan Ranch. After disembarking, walk approximately 0.2 miles to reach the entrance of Ryan Ranch, following the directions provided by the bus driver.
