Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of La Jolla at La Jolla Cove, head north on Coast Blvd towards Girard Ave. After about 0.3 miles, you will reach the intersection with Girard Ave. Turn left onto Girard Ave and continue walking for approximately 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with Torrey Pines Rd. Here, you can catch the bus or continue walking. If you choose to walk, turn right onto Torrey Pines Rd and walk for another 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Via Casa Alta. Turn left onto Via Casa Alta and continue straight. After about 0.2 miles, you will see the entrance to Mount Soledad on your right.

Public Transit
From La Jolla Cove, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Coast Blvd at the intersection with Girard Ave. Take the MTS Bus Route 30 towards Downtown San Diego. Ride for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the stop at Torrey Pines Rd & Via Casa Alta. From there, you can either walk the remaining 0.2 miles up Via Casa Alta to Mount Soledad or wait for another bus that goes closer to the monument.

Continue until you reach Girard Ave and turn left. Follow Girard Ave to Torrey Pines Rd. From there, you can bike up Torrey Pines Rd for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Via Casa Alta and bike up to Mount Soledad, where you can park your bike at the designated bike rack.
