Walking
If you are near the village area of La Jolla, start by heading north on Prospect St. Continue walking until you reach Girard Ave. Turn left onto Girard Ave, and then proceed to head north until you reach Torrey Pines Rd. Turn right onto Torrey Pines Rd. Follow the road for approximately half a mile. You will see the entrance to Torrey Pines State Beach on your left.

Public Bus
If you are near the La Jolla Village Square, catch the MTS bus route 30 towards 'Old Town Transit Center'. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Torrey Pines Rd & Carmel Valley Rd' stop. From there, walk east on Carmel Valley Rd, then turn left on Torrey Pines Rd. Continue walking north for about 15 minutes until you reach Torrey Pines State Beach on your right.

If you have access to a bike, you can take the coastal path. Start at La Jolla Cove and bike north along the scenic coast. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with Torrey Pines Rd. Turn left onto Torrey Pines Rd and continue for a short distance until you see the entrance to Torrey Pines State Beach on your left.
