If you are starting from the main downtown area of Laguna Beach, head south on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) until you reach the intersection with Cliff Drive. This will take about 15 minutes on foot. Once you reach Cliff Drive, turn left and walk up the hill. Continue walking until you reach Heisler Park, which is located at 375 Cliff Dr. Enter the park, and follow the paths leading down towards the coastline. You will find Rockpile Beach at the southern end of the park, just below the scenic viewpoints.

From anywhere in Laguna Beach, locate the nearest bus stop for the Laguna Beach Trolley service. Board the 'Coastal Route' trolley, which runs frequently. You want to get off at the stop nearest to Heisler Park, which is the 'Heisler Park' stop. Once you get off the trolley, walk down to Cliff Drive, and enter the park. Follow the paths leading down towards the beach to reach Rockpile Beach, located at the southern end of the park.
