Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the main beach area in Laguna Beach, head toward Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Walk south on PCH for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to the Thousand Steps Beach. Turn right and descend the stairs. At the bottom, follow the path to the beach, and you will see the Pirate Tower located on the beach to your left, near the cliffs.

    From the Laguna Beach Transit Center, take the 'Laguna Beach Trolley' and ride to the 'Thousand Steps Beach' stop. Once you get off, walk down the stairs to the beach. The Pirate Tower will be to your left as you reach the beach.

    If you have access to a bike, start from the Laguna Beach Main Beach area and head south on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Look for bike lanes along the way. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Thousand Steps Beach. Park your bike at the bike rack near the entrance and walk down the stairs.
