From Lake Tahoe, start by driving towards US-50 E. Follow US-50 E for about 30 miles until you reach the intersection with NV-395 N. Merge onto NV-395 N and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 38 for Carson St toward NV-50 E. Continue on Carson St for about 0.5 miles, and you will find the Nevada State Museum at 600 N Carson St, Carson City, NV 89701 on your left.

To reach the Nevada State Museum from Lake Tahoe using public transportation, first head to the nearest bus stop where you can catch the Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) bus.
