Getting There

• Public Transit - Bus

  If you are in downtown Long Beach, start by heading to the nearest bus stop. Take the Long Beach Transit bus number 121 towards the 'Belmont Shore' area. You will ride for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop near Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street. From there, walk east on 2nd Street until you reach E Paoli Way. Turn left and continue until you reach 5291 E Paoli Way, where the Long Beach Lifeguard Museum is located.

• Public Transit - Metro

  If you are near the Long Beach Convention Center, walk to the nearest Metro Blue Line station. Board the Metro Blue Line train headed towards Washington Station. Get off at the 5th Street station after about 10 minutes. Exit the station and transfer to Long Beach Transit bus number 121 at the stop on 5th Street. Ride for about 15 minutes, getting off at the stop near Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street. Walk east on 2nd Street, turn left onto E Paoli Way, and continue until you reach 5291 E Paoli Way, the Long Beach Lifeguard Museum.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the Belmont Shore area, you can walk to the museum. Start at the intersection of 2nd Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Head east on 2nd Street for a few blocks until you reach E Paoli Way. Turn left onto E Paoli Way and walk for another block until you reach 5291 E Paoli Way, where the Long Beach Lifeguard Museum is located.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in downtown Long Beach. Head towards the beach path along the shoreline. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with 2nd Street. Turn right onto 2nd Street and continue until you reach E Paoli Way. Turn left and cycle until you arrive at 5291 E Paoli Way, the Long Beach Lifeguard Museum.
