To reach Newport Beach from Long Beach using public transit, start at the Long Beach Transit Gallery located at 130 E 1st St. Take the Metro Blue Line (also known as the A Line) towards Washington Station. Get off at the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. From there, transfer to the Metro Expo Line towards Santa Monica. Get off at the Santa Monica Station and look for the Big Blue Bus stop. Take the Big Blue Bus Route 1 towards Newport Beach and get off at the Newport Beach stop. Follow signs towards the beach area, and you will find yourself in Newport Beach.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike to Newport Beach from Long Beach, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike-sharing stations. Start at the Long Beach waterfront and follow the bike path along the coast.
