Metro

To get to the Los Angeles Zoo at 5333 Zoo Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027 using public transportation, first locate the nearest Metro station. If you are near downtown Los Angeles, head to the Union Station. From Union Station, take the Metro Red Line towards North Hollywood. Get off at the Hollywood/Highland station and transfer to the Metro Bus 96. Board the bus heading towards the 'Griffith Park' direction. You will need to get off at the 'Zoo Dr & Griffith Park' stop. The zoo entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Bus

If you are staying in or near Hollywood, you can take the Metro Bus 96 directly. Look for the bus stop on Hollywood Blvd. Board the Bus 96 heading toward 'Griffith Park'. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the 'Zoo Dr & Griffith Park' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the Los Angeles Zoo.
Bicycle

For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing programs available in Los Angeles. If you are in downtown LA, bike towards Griffith Park. Follow the signs toward the park, and once you enter, keep following the paths until you reach Zoo Dr. The Los Angeles Zoo will be located on your right side. Bike racks are available near the entrance.
Walking

If you're staying close to Griffith Park, you can walk to the Los Angeles Zoo. From the Griffith Park Observatory, head down Observatory Rd and take a right onto Fern Dell Dr. Walk along Fern Dell Dr, then take a left onto Zoo Dr. Follow Zoo Dr until you reach the entrance of the Los Angeles Zoo.
