Getting There

  • Metro

    If you're starting from downtown Los Angeles, head to the 7th Street/Metro Center Station. Take the Expo Line (light rail) toward Santa Monica. Stay on the train until you reach the final stop, which is the Santa Monica Station. Once you exit, walk west on Colorado Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach 200 Santa Monica Pier.

  • Bus

    From the Hollywood area, you can take the Metro Bus Line 704 at Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. Head west towards Santa Monica. Get off at the stop at 4th St / Santa Monica Blvd. From there, walk south on 4th Street for about 5 minutes; you will reach the Santa Monica Pier at 200 Santa Monica Pier.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Los Angeles. Start from Venice Beach and bike north along the Marvin Braude Bike Trail. Follow the path until you reach the Santa Monica Pier, which is approximately 3 miles. The pier is easily visible from the bike path.

  • Walking

    If you are near Santa Monica Boulevard, simply walk towards the beach. Head west on Santa Monica Blvd until you reach Ocean Avenue. Turn left on Ocean Ave, and continue walking until you see the Santa Monica Pier on your right. It's about a 20-minute walk from the Santa Monica Promenade.
