From Downtown LA, take the Metro Bus 33 or 333 to Venice Bl/Venice Wy, followed by a short 5-minute walk to the oceanfront. A single Metro or Big Blue Bus fare costs $1.75. Alternatively, the Big Bus Tours Blue Route includes a stop at Venice Boardwalk.

Taxis and ride-sharing services (Uber/Lyft) are readily available throughout Los Angeles. A ride from Santa Monica to the Venice Beach Boardwalk typically costs between $15-$25, depending on traffic and surge pricing. From Hollywood, expect to pay $60-$75.

Driving
If driving, several parking lots are available near the Boardwalk, but they can be expensive, especially during peak season. Lots closest to the beach range from $5-$30 per day. Metered street parking is also available, but spaces are limited and time restrictions apply. A remote parking lot is located at 4551 Glencoe, serviced by the DASH Venice Shuttle, running every 10 minutes on weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Parking at the remote lot and taking the shuttle may be a more economical option.

If you are already in the Venice area, walking to the Boardwalk is a great option. From Abbot Kinney Boulevard, head west towards the ocean. You'll find the Boardwalk at the end of Venice Boulevard. From the Venice Canals, walk west towards the ocean and you will reach the boardwalk. The walk is flat and easy, with plenty of interesting sights along the way.
