Visitors can enjoy hiking trails connecting to Malibu Bluffs Park, offering panoramic views. While swimming is popular, caution is advised near the storm drain. Parking is limited to street shoulders, so arrive early. Despite its proximity to luxurious residences, Amarillo Beach provides a tranquil escape with opportunities for surfing, scuba diving, and simply soaking in the California sun. Be mindful of high tide, which can significantly reduce the available beach area, and respect the privacy of nearby homeowners.

Driving
From Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), turn onto Webb Way heading towards the ocean. Continue onto Malibu Road. Parking is available on the shoulder of Malibu Road near the public access gates. Be mindful not to block any driveways. The access gates are located next to the houses with addresses 24320, 24436, 24572, and 24712 Malibu Road. Parking is free, but limited.
Public Transport
Take the Metro Bus Line 534 from Santa Monica towards Malibu. Get off at the stop near the Malibu Pier. From there, transfer to another bus or rideshare to reach Webb Way and Malibu Road. Walk east along Malibu Road to reach the public access points for Amarillo Beach. A single fare on the Metro Bus is $1.75.

From a central Malibu location like the Malibu Pier, a taxi or ride-share to Amarillo Beach (near 24436 Malibu Road) will cost approximately $15-$25, depending on traffic and demand.
