Walking
The Martinez Museum is located in downtown Martinez, easily accessible on foot from most points in the downtown area. From Main Street, walk north on Escobar Street. The museum is located at 1005 Escobar Street, a short walk from the main commercial area. Look for the Victorian cottage; it's hard to miss.
Public Transport
If arriving by public transport via Amtrak or County Connection bus, the museum is a short walk from the Martinez Amtrak Station. From the station, head north on Ferry Street, then turn right onto Escobar Street. The museum will be on your left. County Connection routes 16, 19, 30Z, 98X, 18, 28, 200X all stop near the Amtrak station.
Driving
If driving, approach Martinez via Highway 4 or Interstate 680. Exit towards downtown Martinez. Parking is available on the street, with metered parking enforced Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Parking costs $0.50 per hour. There are also longer term 4-hour meter parking for their customers along Escobar Street and Ward Street and their adjacent side streets. The City has also set aside over 300 parking spaces along the fringes of the downtown for long term 10-hour parking. Check street signs for parking restrictions.
