The walk is generally flat and takes about 5-10 minutes, offering views of the charming town along the way.

If arriving by public transport, take Marin Transit to the Mill Valley Depot. From the Depot, walk north on Miller Avenue, then turn left onto Throckmorton Avenue. Follow Throckmorton Avenue past the Sequoia Theatre, continuing past the Mill Valley Public Library and Community Church. Old Mill Park will be on your left. Several bus lines serve the Mill Valley Depot, including routes 17 and 114. A single adult fare on Marin Transit is $2.00.
