Public Transit
From your location in San Mateo, walk to the nearest SamTrans bus stop. Take the SamTrans Bus Route 260 towards San Francisco. Ride the bus until you reach the Mill Valley area. Once you arrive at the Mill Valley Transit Center, transfer to the Marin Transit Route 61 bus. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop near 64 Cascade Drive. From there, it’s a short walk to Old Mill Park.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in San Mateo. Start by heading towards the Bay Trail and follow the scenic route along the San Francisco Bay. Continue on the trail until you reach Sausalito, then take the Marin Transit Route 61 bus towards Mill Valley. Disembark at the stop closest to 64 Cascade Drive, and walk to Old Mill Park.
Walking
If you enjoy walking and are up for a longer trek, consider walking from downtown San Mateo to Old Mill Park. Head north on El Camino Real, then turn onto 3rd Avenue towards the San Francisco Bay. Follow the path through the scenic trails until you reach Mill Valley. Once you arrive, follow the signs to 64 Cascade Drive, and you will find Old Mill Park.
