Public Transport
The San Mateo County History Museum is conveniently located a short walk from the Redwood City Caltrain station. Upon exiting the station, walk north on Winslow Street, then turn right onto Broadway. The museum will be on your left, approximately two blocks from the station. Several SamTrans bus routes also serve the area, with stops located near the museum on Broadway. The Midpoint Shuttle (MPT) also provides free service from the Redwood City Caltrain Station along Broadway. Bus lines that stop near the museum are ECR, 270, 276, 278, 295, EPX, RWC, MPT SHUTTLE, SEA. A single ride on SamTrans costs $2.50.

Walking
If you are already in downtown Redwood City, the San Mateo County History Museum is easily accessible on foot. From the intersection of Main Street and Broadway, walk north on Broadway for approximately 15 minutes. The museum will be on your left at 2200 Broadway.

Driving
If driving, take Highway 101 and exit at Whipple Avenue. Continue on Veterans Boulevard, then turn right onto Middlefield Road, and finally turn right onto Broadway. From Highway 280, exit at Woodside Road and head north. Turn left onto Middlefield Road. The museum will be on the right. Metered street parking is available surrounding the museum for $1.00 per hour, Monday through Saturday, from 8 am to 8 pm. Free parking is available on holidays. Garages are also available. The Jefferson and Marshall Street Garages offer the first 1.5 hours free.
