The Google Visitor Experience in Mountain View offers a unique glimpse into the world of Google, blending technology, community engagement, and sustainable practices. Located at the Gradient Canopy building, this destination features the Google Store, where visitors can explore and purchase the latest Google products, and the Cafe @ Mountain View, serving locally sourced, sustainable cuisine. The Huddle provides a space for community events and workshops, while the Pop-Up Shop showcases local businesses. With public art installations and a focus on sustainability, the Google Visitor Experience aims to connect the Google campus with the broader community, offering a welcoming space for neighbors, visitors, and Googlers alike. Public Transport
From the Mountain View Transit Center (Caltrain and VTA Light Rail), take the VTA Route 40 bus towards North Bayshore. The bus operates daily. Get off at the Charleston and Huff streets stop, which is near the Google Visitor Experience. From there, it's a short walk to the Gradient Canopy building. A single ride on VTA is about $2.50.
Driving
If driving, navigate to 2000 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View. Note that there is no parking available near the Visitor Center. Free parking is available at Shoreline Amphitheatre Parking Lot C and Alta Garage. From April 12 - June 1, Shoreline Amphitheatre Parking Lot C is temporarily closed, so park at Alta Garage during this time. A free shuttle runs every 15 minutes between Alta Garage and Google Visitor Experience. Alternatively, it's about an 8-11 minute walk from Alta Garage to the Visitor Experience.
Taxi/Ride-Share
When using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft, set your destination as Gradient Canopy, 2000 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View. The driver will drop you off in front of the building near the west entrance. A short ride from downtown Mountain View will typically cost between $10-$15, depending on demand.
Walking
If you are already in the Shoreline Park area, you can walk to the Google Visitor Experience. Head towards the Gradient Canopy building, which is easily recognizable by its tent-like structure. Follow the pedestrian paths and cross Joaquin Road to reach the entrance. The walk from Shoreline Lake, for example, takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
