Discover more about Halo Art installation

Located near Google's headquarters in Mountain View, the Halo Art Installation is a stunning example of public art that combines technology and artistic vision. Created by SOFTLab, the installation takes its inspiration from the pavilions found in Romantic English Gardens. Situated on a subtle hill, Halo is visible from the surrounding roads, acting as a cylindrical pavilion with no discernible front or back. As visitors approach, they'll notice arches of varying sizes piercing the base of the cylinder, offering glimpses into the interior. The exterior is clad in vertical aluminum tubes, while the interior boasts a crystalline structure covered in dichroic acrylic. This stark contrast gives the impression of stepping inside a geode, where sunlight filters through the open top, reflecting off the iridescent facets and painting the surroundings with shifting colors and light. At night, LEDs illuminate the interior, creating an animated constellation of light. The Halo Art Installation provides an otherworldly space for visitors and Google employees alike. It's a place to escape, find inspiration, and enjoy the interplay of light and structure. The installation enhances Mountain View's vibrant public art scene and fosters a sense of community identity.
