Driving
From Highway 101, take the Moffett Blvd/NASA Parkway exit. Turn right at the stop light and proceed to the main gate. Inform the security guard of your destination. Parking is available in the lots near the Ames Exploration Center and the Moffett Field Historical Society Museum. Note that the Ellis Street gate has limited hours (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily) and is closed on federal holidays. Parking is free in designated spaces, but long-term parking (over 18 hours) is not allowed.
Public Transport
From the Mountain View Caltrain station, take the VTA bus route 51 towards Moffett Field/NASA Ames. Get off at the stop closest to your destination within the NASA Ames Research Park. Alternatively, take the Lightrail from San Jose towards LRT Winchester – Mountain View and get off at the Bayshore NASA Station, Mountain View Stop. From there, walk towards Moffett Field. A single VTA bus fare is $2.50.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from the Mountain View Caltrain station to NASA Ames Research Center will cost approximately $15-25, depending on traffic and the specific location within the center.
