Walking
From Fisherman's Wharf, head southwest along Del Monte Avenue. Monterey Bay Park will be on your right, offering immediate access to the waterfront and the Coastal Recreation Trail. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes, offering scenic views of the harbor. Alternatively, from downtown Monterey, walk northeast on Del Monte Avenue. The park will be on your left. This walk is about 5-10 minutes from the heart of downtown. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) buses serve the area along Del Monte Avenue. Check the MST website or app for the most up-to-date routes and schedules. A single ride costs $2 and is good for 2 hours systemwide, allowing for transfers. Disembark at a stop along Del Monte Avenue near the park entrance. Look for the park signs on the bay side of the street.
Driving
If driving, approach Monterey Bay Park via Del Monte Avenue. Several parking lots are available in the vicinity, including metered street parking and paid lots. Parking costs approximately $2 per hour. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak season and on weekends.
