Walking
If you are in downtown Monterey, start at the intersection of Alvarado St and Del Monte Ave. Head south on Del Monte Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach Cannery Row. Continue along Cannery Row, enjoying the shops and restaurants. Follow the path towards the coast, and you will reach the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail. Follow this trail northwest for approximately 1 mile. As you near the end of the trail, you will see Lovers Point Park ahead. Enter the park at the entrance on Ocean View Blvd.

From the Monterey Bay Aquarium, exit the aquarium and head northwest along Cannery Row. Continue walking along the waterfront on the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail. Stay on the trail as it curves towards the coast, heading towards Pacific Grove. After about a 20-minute walk (approximately 1 mile), you will arrive at Lovers Point Park, which is located at 631 Ocean View Blvd.

You can take the MST (Monterey-Salinas Transit) bus service. Board the MST bus line 1 or 2 at the nearest stop. Ask the driver to let you know when to get off for Lovers Point Park. The stop is near the intersection of Ocean View Blvd and 17th St. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the park on Ocean View Blvd.
