Walking
If you're starting at Cannery Row, exit onto Steinbeck Plaza and head southwest on Cannery Row. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Del Monte Avenue. Turn left onto Del Monte Avenue and walk straight towards the coast. After about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the entrance to Monterey State Beach, which will be on your right.

Public Bus
From downtown Monterey, you can catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus #1 or #2 at the bus stop on Alvarado Street. Board the bus and stay on for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the stop for Del Monte Beach. Once you get off, head towards the beach entrance, which is a short walk to your left.

If you have a bicycle, you can take the scenic bike path from downtown Monterey. Start at the bike path near Fisherman’s Wharf and follow the path along the coastline towards Cannery Row.
