    Public Transit

    From the Monterey Transit Plaza, take the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus #1 towards Salinas. Get off at the stop at Pacific St and Alvarado St. From there, walk east along Pacific St for about 5 minutes, and you will find the Old Monterey Jail at 580 Pacific St.

    Biking

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike near Cannery Row. Start by heading northeast on the bike path along the coast towards the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with Pacific St. Turn left onto Pacific St and bike for about 5-10 minutes until you reach Old Monterey Jail at 580 Pacific St.
