    If you are starting from Cannery Row, head northeast on Cannery Row towards David Ave. Continue straight onto Wave St, and then turn left onto Foam St. Walk until you reach the intersection with Del Monte Ave. Cross Del Monte Ave and continue straight on to the Monterey State Historic Park. Follow the path through the park until you reach the intersection with Church St. Turn left onto Church St, and San Carlos Cathedral will be on your left at 500 Church St.

    From the Monterey Bay Aquarium, exit the aquarium and head west on Cannery Row towards the intersection with Aquatic Park. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Del Monte Ave. Cross Del Monte Ave and proceed straight onto the path through the Monterey State Historic Park. When you reach the intersection with Church St, turn left, and San Carlos Cathedral will be on your left at 500 Church St.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are near the Monterey Transit Plaza, you can take the MST Bus Route 1 towards the Downtown Monterey. Get off at the stop on Alvarado St & Del Monte Ave. From there, walk east on Alvarado St until you reach Church St. Turn left on Church St, and you will find San Carlos Cathedral at 500 Church St.
