From anywhere in San Francisco, take the Muni to Fisherman's Wharf. Several bus lines (19, 28, 30, 49) stop near Umbrella Alley. Alternatively, take the F line streetcar to the last stop in Fisherman's Wharf. From there, walk west on Beach Street for about 4 blocks. Umbrella Alley will be on your right, across from Aquatic Park. A single Muni fare is $3.00 cash, or $2.75 if you use a Clipper card or the MuniMobile app. A day pass costs $5 and includes unlimited rides on buses, light rails, and streetcars (excluding cable cars).

Take the Powell-Hyde cable car line to its northern terminus at Hyde and Beach Streets. Umbrella Alley is located directly across the street from the cable car turnaround. A single ride on the cable car costs $8.
