Roots Run Deep Winery, nestled in the heart of downtown Napa, offers a unique wine-tasting experience in a charming and inviting setting. Housed in a meticulously renovated 120-year-old craftsman home at 1607 First Street, the tasting salon provides a cozy and intimate atmosphere, a refreshing departure from more conventional winery tasting rooms. Founded in 2005 by Mark Albrecht, Roots Run Deep Winery set out with the ambitious goal of producing exceptional Napa Valley wines at accessible prices. Albrecht, a veteran of the wine industry, leveraged his extensive experience and creative approach to branding to bring his vision to life. The winery sources grapes from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley, as well as select sites in Sonoma, Lake County and Lodi, to craft a diverse portfolio of wines. Roots Run Deep is perhaps best known for its 'Educated Guess' wines, which have garnered acclaim for their quality and value. The winery also produces a range of other labels, including Hypothesis, The Graduate, Bound and Determined, and Truth be Told. Visitors to the tasting salon can sample a selection of these wines, learning about the winemaking process and the unique characteristics of each vintage. The tasting room is open Friday through Sunday, and reservations are required. Stepping inside Roots Run Deep feels more like entering a friend's home than a traditional winery.
