Embarcadero Plaza: The Heart of San Francisco's Waterfront

Getting There

• BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

  If you are in Oakland, head to the nearest BART station, such as 12th St. Oakland City Center. Purchase a ticket to Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. Once on the train, enjoy the ride. When you arrive at Embarcadero Station, take the escalator up to the street level. Exit the station and walk towards Market Street. Embarcadero Plaza is located at the intersection of Market St and Steuart St, just a short walk from the station.

• Bus

  Look for AC Transit buses that travel to San Francisco. You can catch the 40, 43, or 51 lines from various locations in Oakland. Make sure to check the bus route to ensure it stops at the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. Once you arrive at the terminal, exit and head towards Market Street. Walk east on Market Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Steuart Street. Embarcadero Plaza will be on your left.

• Ferry

  You can take a ferry from Jack London Square in Oakland to San Francisco. Check the ferry schedule and purchase a ticket. Board the ferry and enjoy the scenic ride across the bay. When you arrive at the Ferry Building, disembark and walk north along the Embarcadero waterfront. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Embarcadero Plaza at the intersection of Market St and Steuart St.

• Walking

  If you are staying in downtown Oakland, you can simply walk to Embarcadero Plaza. Head towards the waterfront and follow the signs for the ferry terminals. Walk along the waterfront towards the Bay Bridge. Continue along the path until you reach Market Street. Embarcadero Plaza will be at the intersection of Market St and Steuart St.
