Getting There

• Public Transport

  From downtown Oakland, several AC Transit bus lines (12, 72, 72M, or 72R) will take you to Jack London Square. Get off at a stop near Embarcadero W & Franklin St or Broadway & 3rd St, both a short walk from the cabin. A single ride fare is $2.50. Alternatively, take BART to the 12th Street Oakland City Center station and transfer to the free Broadway Shuttle (B Shuttle) to Jack London Square.

• Train

  The Oakland Jack London Square Amtrak station is conveniently located at 245 Second Street, a short walk from Jack London's Cabin. Upon exiting the station, walk along 2nd Street towards the waterfront. The cabin is located within Jack London Square, a few blocks from the station.

• Ferry

  The San Francisco Bay Ferry provides service to Jack London Square from various locations around the Bay Area, including San Francisco. From the Oakland Ferry Terminal, the cabin is a short walk. Check the San Francisco Bay Ferry website for schedules and fares, which vary depending on the departure location.

• Taxi/Ride-Share

  From anywhere in Oakland, a taxi or ride-share service (Uber/Lyft) to Jack London Square is readily available. Expect to pay between $10-$20 for a ride from downtown Oakland, depending on traffic and distance.

• Driving

  If driving, several parking garages are available in Jack London Square. Market Garage (255 2nd Street) offers all-day parking for around $13, with the first hour costing $1.25 and each additional half hour also costing $1.25. The Broadway & Embarcadero West Garage (98 Broadway) and the Washington Garage (101 Washington Street) are other options; contact them directly for current pricing. Be aware that street parking can be limited and may pose security concerns.
