Getting There

  • BART

    If you're starting from downtown Oakland, walk to the 12th Street Oakland City Center BART station. Take the BART train towards Richmond. After about 15 minutes, get off at the MacArthur station. From the MacArthur station, exit and walk north on Martin Luther King Jr. Way for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Broadway.

  • Bus

    From the MacArthur BART station, you can also take the AC Transit bus. Board bus number 51 or 40 heading towards the direction of the North Oakland. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Broadway & 66th Avenue stop. From there, walk approximately 0.3 miles south on Broadway until you reach Temescal Regional Recreation Area at 6500 Broadway.

  • Walking/Biking

    If you enjoy walking or biking, from downtown Oakland, head northeast on Broadway. Continue along Broadway for about 2 miles; you'll pass through the Temescal neighborhood. The park entrance will be on your left at 6500 Broadway. It's a pleasant walk with plenty of shops and cafes along the way.
