Start your journey by taking the BART from any station in Oakland. If you are near the 12th Street Oakland City Center station, that's a great starting point. Board a train towards the Richmond direction and travel for about 15 minutes. Disembark at the MacArthur station. Once you exit the station, head to the bus stop located on the corner of MacArthur Blvd and 40th St.

At the MacArthur station bus stop, board the AC Transit bus #57 towards the Oakland Coliseum. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Bellevue Ave & 7th St. From there, walk down Bellevue Ave for about 5 minutes; you will see Lakeside Park on your left at 666 Bellevue Ave.

If you find yourself near downtown Oakland, you can walk to Lakeside Park. Start at the corner of 14th St and Broadway. Walk east on 14th St until you reach Lake Merritt. Once you arrive at the lake, walk along the shoreline heading south until you reach Bellevue Ave. Turn left onto Bellevue Ave and continue for about 10 minutes; Lakeside Park will be on your right.
