Getting There

    If you're starting from downtown Oakland, head to the 12th Street Oakland City Center BART station. Take the BART train towards Richmond. Get off at the Coliseum station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the bus stop for AC Transit bus 73. Board the bus heading towards 'San Leandro BART.' Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at Doolittle Drive. From the bus stop, walk east along Doolittle Drive for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach Watermelon Rock, which will be on your right.

    If you're close to Lake Merritt, you can walk to Watermelon Rock. Start by walking south towards East 12th Street. Turn left onto East 12th Street and continue until you reach the Coliseum area. From there, follow the directions above for public transit or continue walking along East 12th Street until you can connect to Doolittle Drive.
