Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are in downtown Oakland, you can reach Remember Them by taking the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the 12th Street/Oakland City Center station. Board a train headed towards Richmond or Millbrae. After just one stop, get off at the 19th Street Oakland station. Once you exit the station, head south on 19th Street. Continue walking for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Rashida Muhammad Street. Remember Them is located at the corner of 19th Street and Rashida Muhammad Street, where you can easily spot the landmark.

• Walking

  From the Oakland Museum of California, head north on 10th Street towards Oak Street. Turn left onto Oak Street and walk until you reach 19th Street. Turn right onto 19th Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You'll pass by various shops and restaurants. Once you reach the intersection with Rashida Muhammad Street, Remember Them will be right at the corner. It's a straightforward walk, and you’ll enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Uptown district.

• Bus

  You can also take the AC Transit bus for a direct route. Look for the bus stop at 10th and Broadway. Catch the 14 bus heading towards the West Oakland BART station. After about 5 stops, get off at the stop at 19th Street & Broadway. From there, walk east on 19th Street, crossing over Franklin Street. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Rashida Muhammad Street, where Remember Them is located.
