If you are near La Jolla Shores Beach, walk north along La Jolla Shores Drive. Turn right onto Expedition Way and continue uphill for about 0.3 miles to reach the Birch Aquarium entrance. This is a moderately steep walk. No costs are involved.

From I-5, exit at La Jolla Village Drive and head west. Turn left onto Expedition Way. The aquarium is located at the top of the hill. Free 3-hour parking is available in the aquarium lot. Additional parking is available along La Jolla Shores Drive. After 3 hours, parking in the designated lot is $8 per every 24 hours.
