Getting There

  • Walking

La Jolla Kayak is located at 2199 Avenida De La Playa. From the intersection of La Jolla Shores Drive and Avenida De La Playa, walk west on Avenida De La Playa for approximately 2 blocks. The shop will be on your left. This is a primarily flat walk on a paved sidewalk.

  • Public Transport

The number 30 MTS bus connects downtown San Diego with La Jolla. From the Silverado and Herschel stop in downtown La Jolla, transfer to another bus or rideshare to reach La Jolla Kayak at 2199 Avenida De La Playa. A one-way fare on the MTS bus is $2.50.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

From downtown La Jolla, a taxi or rideshare to La Jolla Kayak will cost approximately $10-$15, depending on traffic and demand. Several taxi and rideshare services operate in the area.

  • Parking

Parking can be challenging, especially during peak season. There is free parking available on the surrounding residential streets, but the spots marked '90 minutes' on Avenida de la Playa do not allow enough time for a tour. Underground parking is available on weekends for $20 at the office building at the corner of Paseo del Ocaso and Avenida De La Playa.
