Encinitas Boulevard turns into B Street after crossing Highway 101. Parking is available in the paid lot on C Street, but free street parking can be found in the surrounding neighborhood. Parking rates in the paid lot vary, but typically range from $2-3 per hour.

Take the Coaster train to the Encinitas Coaster Station. From the station, walk west on E Street, turn right onto Vulcan Avenue, and then left onto D Street, which leads directly to the beach. The walk is about 5 minutes. Alternatively, several North County Transit District (NCTD) bus routes, including Route 101, stop near Moonlight State Beach. A one-way fare on the Coaster is approximately $5.50, and a one-way bus fare is around $2.50.
