Getting There

  • Driving

    From I-5, exit at Genesee Avenue and head west. Genesee Avenue curves into N Torrey Pines Road. Turn right at the 'Golf Course' sign after Science Park Way. Follow N Torrey Pines Road and turn right at the stop sign into the parking area. Parking costs vary, and can be difficult to find during peak times and events. Consider booking parking in advance using online services. Alternatively, parking at the UTC mall in La Jolla and taking the bus to Torrey Pines can be a cheaper option, costing $15 for all-day parking at the mall and less than $5 for the bus.

  • Public Transport

    From downtown San Diego, take the tram to UCSD Central Campus Station (Blue Line). From there, transfer to the 985 bus, which will drop you off near Torrey Pines Golf Course. The combined journey takes approximately 1 hour and 23 minutes and costs between $4 and $20. Alternatively, take the COASTER train to Sorrento Valley Station, then transfer to the 478 bus. The bus stop is a 5-10 minute walk to the golf course. A one-way train ticket costs $2 - $7.
