El Matador State Beach is located off the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) in western Malibu. From central Malibu, drive approximately 10 miles northwest on PCH. Look for the small sign indicating the beach entrance; it's easy to miss. Turn into the dirt parking lot. Parking costs $8. If the lot is full, limited street parking is available on PCH, but pay close attention to parking signs to avoid tickets.
