Driving
If arriving by car from elsewhere in the Coachella Valley, navigate towards Palm Canyon Drive (Highway 111), the main thoroughfare. From the east (e.g., Indio, Coachella), follow Highway 111 west. From the west (e.g., Los Angeles via I-10), exit onto Highway 111 south. Parking in downtown Palm Springs can be found in public lots, including the free garage accessible from Palm Canyon Drive at Amado Road and on Museum Drive. Metered street parking is also available. Be aware of the 4-hour time limit in free parking areas. The Palm Springs Convention Center also offers parking for $10 per day, accessible via QR code or text-to-pay.
Public Transport
SunLine Transit Agency provides bus service throughout the Coachella Valley. From other cities in the valley, take the appropriate SunLine route to the Palm Springs Transfer Center (located downtown). From there, Palm Canyon Drive and many attractions are within walking distance. A single ride fare is typically around $1.00. Check SunLine's website for routes and schedules.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services (Uber/Lyft) are readily available throughout Palm Springs. A ride from Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) to downtown will typically cost between $15 and $25, depending on traffic and surge pricing. Several taxi companies operate in the area, including City Cab and Yellow Cab of the Desert. Designated pick-up and drop-off zones are located at the airport and other key locations.
