Discover more about Palm Springs Air Museum

The Palm Springs Air Museum is more than just a collection of airplanes; it's a living tribute to American aviation history and the veterans who served. Founded in 1996, the museum has grown to encompass five themed hangars, each dedicated to a specific era or theater of war. The Pacific Hangar showcases Naval aircraft from the Pacific Theater of World War II, while the European Hangar features Army aircraft from the same conflict. The Korea and Vietnam Hangar displays aircraft from those later conflicts, and the newest hangar houses an F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter. A separate hangar is dedicated to a B-17 Flying Fortress. Many of the museum's aircraft have been used in movies, adding a touch of Hollywood glamour to the experience. Beyond the aircraft themselves, the museum offers a range of exhibits, artifacts, and educational programs. Knowledgeable docents, many of whom are veterans, are on hand to share their experiences and insights. Visitors can also explore a research library, try their hand at a flight simulator, or even take a ride in a vintage warbird. The Palm Springs Air Museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Gala Day.
