Getting There

• Bus

  From Palo Alto, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) bus line 22 or 23 from the Palo Alto Transit Center. Board the bus heading towards San Jose. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Santa Clara & Market' stop. From there, walk south on S Market St for about 5 minutes until you reach The Tech Interactive at 201 S Market St.

• Train

  Make your way to the Palo Alto Caltrain station, located at 95 University Ave. Take the southbound Caltrain towards San Jose Diridon Station, which takes about 20-25 minutes. Once you arrive at San Jose Diridon Station, exit the station and head towards the VTA light rail station. Board the VTA light rail on the Blue Line towards Santa Teresa and get off at the 'San Antonio' stop. From there, transfer to the VTA bus line 22 or 23 heading towards 'Santa Clara & Market', and get off at the 'Santa Clara & Market' stop. Walk south on S Market St for about 5 minutes to reach The Tech Interactive.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services in Palo Alto. Start at your location and head south towards the Bay Trail. Follow the trail towards San Jose, which will take you through scenic routes. Once you reach downtown San Jose, use the bike lanes to navigate to 201 S Market St. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your cycling speed.

• Walking

  If you enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route from Palo Alto to San Jose. Start at the Palo Alto Caltrain station and head south along University Ave. Continue walking south until you reach the intersection with El Camino Real, then take a left. Walk along El Camino Real until you reach the light rail station, and from there, follow the directions for the light rail or continue walking through downtown San Jose. The total walking distance is approximately 12 miles and will take around 4 hours, so plan accordingly.
