4.7

Lake Hollywood Park is a beloved community park located in the Hollywood Hills, offering a picturesque escape with its stunning views of the Hollywood Sign and the Lake Hollywood Reservoir. Originally named “Hollywood Reservoir Park,” it evolved around the Mulholland Dam, which was completed in 1924 to meet the city's growing water demands. In 1944, it was renamed “Lake Hollywood Park”. The park features a large grassy field lined with trees, making it ideal for picnics, yoga, and relaxation. It's also a popular spot for dog walkers, though it's not an off-leash park. A small, fenced area with picnic tables and a jungle gym is available for families. The Innsdale Trail offers a closer view of the Hollywood Sign. Lake Hollywood provides freshwater to the city. The reservoir is encircled by a 3.3-mile paved road used for walking, jogging, and bicycling. The Mulholland Dam, which creates the reservoir, was designed by William Mulholland and completed in 1924.
