Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is a thrilling motion simulator attraction located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park. This ride takes guests on a journey through the Star Wars galaxy, offering a unique and unpredictable experience with each ride. Originally opened as Star Tours on January 9, 1987, the attraction was updated in 2011 with high-definition video, 3D technology, improved motion simulators, and new special effects. The updated ride system also features a randomized ride sequence, making each experience different. Riders board a Starspeeder 1000, piloted by C-3PO, and encounter various planets, characters, and scenes from the Skywalker Saga. The adventure begins with an accidental launch, with C-3PO taking control of the Starspeeder. Guests may encounter villains like Darth Vader or Kylo Ren, and might be rescued by heroes such as Han Solo or Rey. The destinations vary, with possible visits to planets like Hoth, Tatooine, or even a landing on Batuu in Black Spire Outpost, mirroring the setting of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Since April 5, 2024, the ride has incorporated characters and locations from Disney+ series like Ahsoka and The Mandalorian, adding even more variety to the possible storylines. The ride lasts approximately 4.5 minutes and utilizes state-of-the-art technology, including a flight simulator, digital 3D video, Audio-Animatronics characters, and in-cockpit special effects and music to fully immerse guests in the Star Wars mythology. With over 250 possible storyline variations, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue offers a fresh and exciting adventure with each flight.

    Getting There

    Walking

    From anywhere inside Disneyland Park, follow signs towards Tomorrowland. Star Tours is located in the heart of Tomorrowland, near Space Mountain. The entrance is clearly marked with Star Wars theming.

    Public Transport

    From Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), take the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) Route 15 directly to the Disneyland Resort. Get off at the East Shuttle Area, located between the theme parks. From there, walk towards Tomorrowland within Disneyland Park. ART tickets cost approximately $6 for a one-day pass.

    Taxi/Ride-sharing

    Request a ride to the passenger drop-off loop on Harbor Boulevard, next to the Disneyland pedestrian entrance. From there, walk through the security checkpoint and enter Disneyland Park. Follow signs towards Tomorrowland. A short taxi/ride-share trip from nearby hotels typically costs $10-$15.

    Parking

    If driving, park at the Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals parking structures. Standard parking costs $35 per car or motorcycle. Take the tram from the parking structure to the Downtown Disney District, then enter Disneyland Park. From there, follow signs to Tomorrowland.
