Start from the Pleasanton downtown area, specifically from the Pleasanton BART station located at 1001 Railroad Ave, Pleasanton, CA 94566. Exit the station and head east on Railroad Ave towards Main St. Follow Main St as it turns into Stanley Blvd. Continue walking straight on Stanley Blvd for about 1.5 miles, passing through several residential areas and small shops. Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area will be on your left at 2500 Stanley Blvd. Look for the park entrance with clear signage.

If you're starting from the Pleasanton downtown area, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops. Head east from the Pleasanton BART station on Railroad Ave and turn right onto Main St. Continue on Main St which will merge into Stanley Blvd. Biking along Stanley Blvd, you will cover about 1.5 miles. The entrance to Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area will be on your left. Make sure to follow bike lanes where available for safety.

From the Pleasanton BART station, take the BART train towards Fremont. Get off at the West Dublin/Pleasanton station. Once you exit, you can catch the 10 bus towards the Pleasanton Transit Center. From the transit center, transfer to the 3 bus heading towards the Park and Ride at Stanley Blvd. Get off at the stop closest to the park entrance. Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area will be a short walk from the nearest bus stop on Stanley Blvd.
