Forest Adventure Playground: A Natural Escape

Nestled within the expansive Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, California, the Forest Adventure Playground provides a dynamic and engaging space for older children and adults seeking outdoor recreation. Designed with a forestry theme, the playground evokes the spirit of the region's logging history, offering a unique blend of play and education. The playground features a large tower that offers a bird's-eye view of the park, reminiscent of fire lookouts and logging operations. Visitors can also enjoy a long, low zip line that mimics logging arch pulleys, as well as adult-sized swings, a climbing wall, and a super slide. The playground is part of Paul Bunyan's Forest Camp, which also includes Babe's Corral, a playground for younger children, and the Mill Building. Access to the Forest Adventure Playground is included with park admission or is free for members. Turtle Bay Exploration Park itself offers a wide array of attractions, including a museum, botanical gardens, and wildlife exhibits, making it a destination for families and nature enthusiasts.
