Fairytale Town: Where Imagination Comes to Life

Fairytale Town, a beloved Sacramento landmark since 1959, offers a magical experience for children and families. Located in William Land Park, this 2.5-acre park is dedicated to sparking imagination, creativity, and literacy through the world of fairy tales and nursery rhymes. With over 25 colorful play sets, Fairytale Town provides a unique backdrop for children to act out their favorite stories. Kids can explore King Arthur's Castle, Farmer Brown's Barn, Cinderella's carriage, and Mr. McGregor's Garden, each designed to encourage creative discovery and active play. The park also features a family of miniature breed animals, interactive learning gardens, and two performing arts stages, offering a diverse range of activities. Fairytale Town's history is rooted in a vision to create a tactile, interactive space where children could connect with classic literature. Inspired by Disneyland and Oakland's Fairyland, the Junior League of Sacramento and other community leaders gifted Fairytale Town to the children of the Central Valley. Over the years, the park has evolved while staying true to its mission, welcoming millions of visitors and remaining a cherished part of Sacramento's cultural landscape. Today, Fairytale Town operates as a non-profit organization, supported by public contributions and dedicated to providing affordable, enriching experiences for all children.
