    From the Sacramento Valley Station (Amtrak), the Capitol is a 10-15 minute walk. Head south on 7th Street, then turn right onto L Street. The Capitol will be on your left, occupying the area between 10th and 11th Streets.

  • Public Transport

    From Sacramento Valley Station, take the Sacramento Regional Transit Gold Line to the 7th & Capitol Station. The California State Capitol is a short walk from the station. Alternatively, several bus lines (30, 106) stop near the Capitol. A single ride on Sacramento Regional Transit is $3.

  • Driving

    The California State Capitol Museum is located at 1315 10th St, Sacramento, CA 95814. From I-5, take the J Street exit and head east. Metered street parking is available around the Capitol, and several parking garages are nearby. The closest parking garage is the City of Sacramento-Capitol Garage on 10th and L Streets. Parking rates vary, but expect to pay around $15 for 2 hours.
