Driving
To reach Desert View Park by car from San Diego, start on I-5 N or I-15 N. Merge onto CA-78 E towards Ramona. Continue on CA-78 E until the intersection with CA-67 N. Take CA-67 N towards Ramona and follow it until the junction with CA-78 E in Ramona. Continue straight onto CA-78 E until you reach the town of Julian. Once in Julian, follow signs for CA-79 S. Turn right onto CA-79 S and then take a left onto Inspiration Point Rd. Desert View Park will be at 423 Inspiration Point Rd, Julian, CA 92036. There is no parking fee at the park.
Public Transport
To get to Desert View Park using public transportation, first take the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus route 10 or 11 to the El Cajon Transit Center. From there, transfer to the bus route 67 towards Ramona. Get off at the stop near the junction of CA-78 and CA-79. From this stop, arrange for a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a taxi to take you directly to Desert View Park at 423 Inspiration Point Rd, Julian, CA 92036. Be prepared for a ride of about 15-20 minutes; rideshare costs vary. A one-way bus fare is $2.50.
